Super Mario Bros 3 For Nintendo Wii Game Review

Super Mario Bros 3 was originally released in 1990 amidst great anticipation. It was a promise of great gaming and it delivered. Now this game, one of the greatest of all time is available again. If you want it now you can have it as a Wii Virtual Console Service Download.

For those unfamiliar with this landmark game, get with the times. Spanning eight worlds and more than seventy levels, Super Mario Bros is pure entertainment. Running, leaping across pits, pouncing on Goombas, attaining great powers, throwing fireballs, invincibility stars and more are all part of the legend that is Super Mario Bros 3.

The variety of the original Super Mario Bros 3 lends a freshness to it even today. You move through worlds of castles and airships. You will also have to face Koopaling bosses. There is great variety as you move through the levels. The action rotates between switch based puzzles, swimming, platform jumping and more.

Overall the quality of the graphics and the audio is in line with the old NES. If you use a HD, a color saturation boost may be in order. The only problem with the visuals is that there is a thin blue or black border that appears on the far left of the screen.

This game is for both lovers of Super Mario Bros 3 and for the uninitiated. Hours of great nostalgia and great fun. A well spent $5.
