Soulcalibur Legends for Nintendo Wii Game Review

Soulcalibur Legends is available from Namco Bandai for the Nintendo Wii. The price is $49.99 for a new one. Namco Bandai which has produced many great titles in the past has fallen short this time.

When you begin playing this game, you are excused if you mistake it for hours of fun. The reason is an interesting tutorial level and a nice cutscene in the beginning of the game. Soon the game descends into the depths of boredom.

The dialogue is unrealistic, cliched and boring. You can switch between characters delivering overblown dialogue as you fight many other boring characters. One boss keeps returning no matter how many times you slay him making you wonder how long this travesty will last.

The levels you travel through are too linear with little excitement. There are some puzzles to solve on the way, but they are plain downright boring and unneccessary. In this scenario even the traps that you encounter are irritating. Where have all the good games gone?

I would not recommend this mockery of a video game to you even if you are a fan of Soul Calibur. If you want to burn money, I suggest using a lighter.
