MLB Power Pros For The Nintendo Wii Game Review

MLB Power Pros is available for the Nintendo Wii from 2K Games at a price of $39.99. The characters are adorable bobbleheaded versions of Major League players. You might think this is just another humorous look at professional baseball.

When you spend some time with this game however, you will understand why it is so popular in Japan. Hardcore baseball nerds will love this one. The player models look funny to say the least. However behind the legolike facade, these players mimick the real ones very well. There is a great attention to detail.

This game is probably the closest you can get to real baseball on a console. You need real baseball judgement to pitch and bat. The Wii Mote can be used as a bat in exhibition games and home run derbies. You get to edit and create fantasy teams of your choice.

If you like roleplaying, you will like the success and season modes. The success mode is like the career mode in other baseball games. Your players capabilites can be increased by what you choose to do.

This game features crisp graphics, however there is a lack of spice in the presentation. The Wii version loads faster than the PS2 version, and costs a little more but both are mostly the same. A great baseball sim. Highly Recommended.
