Mario Strikers Charged For The Nintendo Wii Game Review

Mario Strikers Charged is available for the Nintendo Wii from Nintendo for $39.99. This game goes much further than its predecessor, takes the series to a new high. Most of the original ingredients that made this series are still here. There are captains with mega shots, sidekicks, stadiums and tournaments. They are a bit tweaked though.

Many new  sidekicks have been introduced as well. There are also new captains. You need to strategize well to build the perfect team, since sidekicks all have their own special abilities. The ball is cool and the color changes as you hit it more. With purple you have the lowest chance to score and with white you have the highest. Wi-fi is a cool addition to this game which allows you to play online with others. You need a good connection though.

There are tournaments – Fire Cup, Crystal Cup and Striker Cup. The Striker Cup is too difficult. In the knock out round of the competition, one loss means a restart of the tournament and this is a little frustrating. If you simply restart the Wii you lose automatically. MegaStrike is another feature of the game I did not like.

All in all this is one great game with some issues, but then most great games have them. It is a treat to play overall and comes recommended.
