Madden NFL 09: All Play For The Nintendo Wii Game Review
If you were looking to learn about football the Madden NFL 09 is the game for you. There is a new Five On Five mode in this one as well as user friendly play calling and simplified controls. There are the Franchise and Superstar modes as well as online play. If you are a newcomer to the game check this one out. Five on Five is set in a cartoony field amidst players with huge heads. The gameplay is simple.
Although the majority of the gameplay on this game is unchanged from the previous version, some additions make it better than ever. You can now call your shot. You can also choose the next play in several ways. One colorful addition is the ability to celebrate touchdowns. The Wii makes this very interactive.
There is a solid franchise mode in this one with fairly accurate simulated statistics. There is also a great Party mode. Up to four people can play a bunch of minigames, much like the previous year. Most of the difference in the new version is due to bolder and brighter colors that will appeal to younger people.
The game audio is the same as last year’s. Hardly any improvements here. The changes in Madden 09 mostly make it more user friendly. This game is for casual players and not seasoned football fans. The price, in case you are wondering is $49.99.
