High School Musical: Sing It Bundle with Microphone for Nintendo Wii Game Review

As the name suggests High School Musical is based on the movie with the same name. It is made by Buena Vista Games and will set you back by $59.99 if you decide to purchase it. So should you buy it? I would advise it only if you have watched and really like the movie. Here’s why.

The storyline is a simplified version of HSM and HSM2. It draws a lot from SingStar as well, with a microphone. All the HSM and HSM2 song are there in this game. In addition songs from other Disney movies – Jump In and Cheetah Girls are included.

In the game, there is a bar showing you where the song lies in the phrase. If you have not watched High School Musicals one and two, you will not know what to do.

You can choose which part you want to play – part 1, 2 or a mix. It is difficult to distinguish between Troy and Gabriella though. In the mix, there is confusion as to which harmony you should sing in the chorus.

I did not like the graphics much. They are a little flashy. Also, they are not well detailed. The audience looks identical (almost) from every angle.

In sum, I would like to tell you that buy this game only if you are crazy about High School Musical – the movie and want more of it. If you have not watched the movie, you would spend your money better on some of the other amazing titles offered on the Nintendo Wii.
