Godzilla Unleashed for Nintendo Wii Game Review

Godzilla Unleashed is an offering from Atari and will set you back by $49.79 for a new pack on Amazon. The popular monster is projected as in his full form. However, he is more leashed than ever.

The storyline is terrible. The trouble starts when some crystals land on Earth. The monsters on Earth go beserk as a result. You play as Godzilla or another “good” monster who must stop the other monsters and destroy the crystals. On the way he must protect himself from an army guy who is a little nutty to say the least.

The controls on the Wii do not work as well as they do for many other games, in fact they are terrible. The targeting scheme gets a thumbs down as well. The AI is sub par and so is the whole campaign.

Typically there are many monsters fighting in what resembles a big city. You are watching from angles that are uncontrollable by you. You are faced with two dangers – scattered crystals and bad monsters. So you have to destroy both. You proceed through the levels and are fed up in a few hours if the game is still unfinished that is.

I have rarely played a game on the Wii that is worse produced than this with bad controls and and even worse storyline. Not Recommended.
