Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo Wii Game Review
Published and developed by Square Enix, Chocobo’s Dungeon is a role playing game. The immense popularity of the Chocobo in 1988’s Final Fantasy II immediately earned him the position of the series’ de facto mascot. The giant yellow birds span across a variety of genres such as board game (Chocobo Land), dungeon-crawling RPG (Chocobo’s Dungeon 2) and racing (Chocobo Racing).
And now, Square has come out with Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Nintendo Wii.This version of the game brings together elements of the Chocobo’s Dungeon titles and Chocobo Tales. Starring Chocobo, obviously, this time around he is a treasure hunter with Cid, his partner. In our first meeting with them, Chocobo and Cid are looking for the Timeless Power which is said to be in a tall tower in the midst of a desert. Just as they are about to reach it, they are whisked away to Lostime, a town in the land of Memoria.
What follows is a series of intriguing interactions with the local townspeople who lose memory if they hear the Bell of Oblivion ringing. The people are happily ignorant and things are further complicated with the falling of mysterious objects from the sky. To find out, play the game!
The graphics of the game are amazing. The soundtrack has new versions of songs from the previous Fantasy Fable titles. The game has a smooth difficulty curb and prepares you well in advance for forthcoming situations.
Priced at $39.99, the game is beautiful and fun. It’s definitely the best RPG game available for the Nintendo Wii
