Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and Tower of Mirrors For The Nintendo Wii Game Review

Dragon Quest Swords is available for the Nintendo Wii from Square Enix at a price of $49.99. The game begins with you leaving the huge town through a massive gate. You move through a forest full of enemies and tackle a golem boss. You can choose a secondary character who is like a sidekick giving you support on the way. These sidekicks help you in fights at certain times. They also say encouraging things at times.

The game is set in first person perspective. It is pretty linear apart for some choices like forks on the road. You need to use the Wii Remote to battle the enemies that come your way, mostly trying to finish them off. You attack and defend with the Wii Remote. The control system is pretty simple and moving around is done with the D pad.

Sometimes there are multiple enemies to fight and they attack you from many angles. You could be fighting enemies who are good at defending themselves or others who are good at attacking and have to strategize according to the enemy. As you combat a larger number of enemies, you gain the ability of special attack. It isn’t all simple though, there is some depth to the game. You earn gold and experience as you defeat the enemies.

The presentation comprises of gorgeous visuals and a clean detailed look. The forest that you journey through is beautiful. With good gameplay as well as elements of RPG this is a great game to spend time on.
