Battalion Wars 2 For The Nintendo Wii Game Review
Battalion Wars is available for the Wii from Nintendo at a price of $28.62. In the original version there was a great mix of action and strategy. The sequel gives a better single person campaign as well as a better online experience. This many not be a landmark game, but will prove fun for fans of WW2 games.
There are six fictional factions in operation here. Solar Empire resembles Japan. The Anglo Isles represent Britain. The Xylvians are building a superweapon and seeking to distract the world from their own research. The weapons include tanks, helicopters, anti air units and fighter jets.
Armies are made up of a mixture of the above weapons. There are four notions to each controlled unit – follow, wait, kill and defend. There are many limitations to the game and it is not easy to figure it out. There is not too much strategy in this game.
There are also naval units in this game. Playing online can be done cooperatively or against friends or colleagues. There is no significant lag in the online mode. There isn’t a great deal of customizability though. This new offering features better graphics, online play and a good pace. Recommended.
